Swifty in action at home
Like many keen, experienced amateur artists, Martin Long loves to experiment with materials and form. Having designed and built a studio at home so he could focus on his hobby outside his day job of managing director of a marketing firm, he wanted to branch out from his usual stone carving and clay work.
Martin had always liked the idea of creating metal sculptures and is intrigued by metal products – particularly up cycled ones such as furniture created from old aeroplanes and cars – but he never thought it was something he would be able to make in a home studio because the equipment was too big and too expensive.

Bringing a logo to life
Full Steam Pictures specialises in food and drink focused film and photography. To celebrate the launch of a fresh new logo and identity, the studio commissioned a unique piece of wall art to display in reception. That’s where Swifty came in!
Swifty is incredibly useful when it comes to replicating complex bespoke shapes. While some use this potential to recreate a car part that’s no longer in production, this project took its CNC capabilities in a more artistic direction.
